Winter's coldest temps may peak this week
It’s harder to sustain subzero cold in Minnesota as we move through February. Winter is not done with Minnesota yet, but the worst weeks of winter are likely behind us after this week.

Amazon tells Minnesota it will shut down Shakopee center, lay off 680 workers
Amazon told the state its sort center complex in the southwest metro area will close effective March 31. A company spokesperson said the workers affected will be offered opportunities at facilities elsewhere in the Twin Cities region.
A 6th police officer is relieved of duty in the Tyre Nichols death investigation
Nichols, 29, was pulled over on Jan. 7 for what police said was reckless driving. After trying to flee on foot, Nichols was severely beaten by police. He died in a hospital days later.
Lisa Loring, the original Wednesday Addams, is dead at 64
Lisa Loring will be remembered as a Hollywood icon for playing the gloomy Wednesday Addams at age 6. She went on to fill roles on “As the World Turns” and the “Girl from U.N.C.L.E.”
Above normal by the weekend; Minnesota cold not what it used to be
Wind chill warnings continue through noon in northwestern Minnesota. Monday will barely warm above zero in southern Minnesota with subzero highs north. Wind chills will remain in the teens and 20s below zero Monday afternoon.
'24,' 'Runaways' actor Annie Wersching has died at 45
Actor Annie Wersching, best known for playing FBI agent Renee Walker in the series “24” and providing the voice for Tess in the video game “The Last of Us,” has died. She was 45.

Frigid start to the week with temperatures trending upward
Wind chill advisories and warnings are in effect through most of the morning or day Monday across Minnesota. Wind chills will range from 20 to 40 below zero early Monday. High temperatures will be barely above zero south and subzero north.
