Jan. 6 panel delays hearing as Hurricane Ian aims at Florida
The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol announced Tuesday that it had postponed a hearing scheduled for Wednesday as a hurricane hurtled toward the Florida coast.
Attorneys allege Minnesota State Patrol wrongly destroyed evidence in fatal crash
Attorneys for the former Minneapolis police officer involved in a fatal crash while chasing a stolen car last year are alleging that the Minnesota State Patrol wrongly destroyed evidence in the case. They’re asking for sanctions against the prosecution.

Athletes at Division I schools are hauling in the cash after a new rule in 2021 made it OK. But what about athletes in the smaller Division III schools? Hennepin County plans to convert the former luMinn Hotel in downtown Minneapolis into housing for people who make below 30 percent of the area median income. That’s one of several hotels the county has bought to create more accommodations for low-income residents.  Kelly Busch is a reporter with the Minneapolis St Paul Business Journal. Investigation update: Who made 17 fake calls about active shooters in Minnesota?
Calls at 17 different Minnesota schools on Sept. 21st reported an active shooter or gun on campus in St. Paul, Austin, Mankato, Rochester and Cloquet, among others. State officials investigated and say the calls were all a hoax known as “swatting.” Drew Evans, superintendent of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, speaks with guest host Tim Nelson about the investigation into who made the calls.
Widespread frost for many Tuesday night; dry September continues
