A federal judge on Wednesday sentenced former Minneapolis police Officer Ty Jindra, 29, to more than 3 years in prison for stealing drugs including oxycodone and methamphetamine from citizens during illegal searches.

Sunny, pleasant Wednesday and Thursday; heat returns next week
We’ll see a fair amount of sunshine and pleasant temperatures Wednesday and Thursday. Nearly statewide temperatures will be in the 70s both days.
With a dry forecast, the National Weather Service predicts that the water level on Rainy Lake — which is threatening hundreds of properties east of International Falls — will rise by only a couple inches over the next seven days. That compares to some days in the past couple weeks where the lake rose that much in a single day, swollen by a heavy winter snowpack and then spring rains. Decreasing clouds Wednesday; warmer days ahead
After some rain for some spots, clouds will decrease Wednesday and that will lead to warmer temperatures. The warming trend will continue through the week and especially next week.
