A Texas man convicted of storming the U.S. Capitol with a holstered handgun, helmet and body armor was sentenced Monday to more than seven years in prison, the longest sentence imposed so far among hundreds of Capitol riot cases.
A Prior Lake man was charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Isaac Schuman, 17, and attempted first-degree homicide for allegedly wounding four people in their 20s who were tubing with the teen. Aug. 1 is the 15 year anniversary of the day the I-35W bridge in Minneapolis fell into the Mississippi River during the evening rush hour.
