As charges are dismissed, Moriarty defends decision to charge state trooper and criticizes ‘political circus’
In announcing the decision to drop charges against state trooper Ryan Londregan, Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty criticized what she called a “political circus that has repeatedly tried to center Mr. Londregan as the victim.”
Prosecutors have dropped murder and manslaughter charges against Minnesota state trooper Ryan Londregan, who fatally shot Ricky Cobb during a traffic stop in Minneapolis last year. And the FBI has seized the cell phones of the seven defendants in the Feeding Our Future trial after someone approached one of the jurors with a bag of cash.
