'This is about the message it sends': Carleton College ends legacy admissions
Carleton College now joins the rank of colleges and universities that have ended legacy admissions. The University of Minnesota scrapped its policy this summer. Across the country, more than a hundred colleges and universities have ended legacy admissions since 2015.
Minneapolis police have safely located the missing 4-year-old girl.
The state Department of Revenue says some Minnesotans are mistaking rebate checks for junk mail and discarding them. And crews continued work Wednesday to extinguish a 40-acre wildfire in Carlton County that ignited on Labor Day.
